A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MANTECA, State of California, APPROVING CONTRACT AMENDMENT NO. 8 WITH HDR ENGINEERING, INC. FOR an additional amount not to exceed $338,217.47 to provide construction and engineering support services, AND authorizing THE CITY MANAGER OR DESIGNEE to sign the amendment and associated documents for the state route 120 / mckinley avenue interchange project (cip 11034) WHEREAS, the City of Manteca (City), in cooperation with the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), and the San Joaquin Council of Governments (SJCOG), proposed to construct a new State Route (SR) 120 / McKinley Ave interchange project (PROJECT)(CIP 11034); and WHEREAS, Project is located along SR120 between Yosemite Ave and Airport Way within the jurisdictional limits of both the City of Manteca and San Joaquin County; and WHEREAS, on May 17, 2016, the City Council approved a Professional Services Agreement with HDR Engineering, Inc. (HDR) for $2,804,540 to provide design, Right of Way (ROW) acquisition, environmental clearance, and engineering services for said project; and WHEREAS, the proposed contract Amendment No. 8 includes construction and engineering services supporting overall construction as well as preparation of record drawings for as-built plans for the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans); and WHEREAS, Construction and Engineering Support Services for said project will be funded by Public Facilities Implementation Plan (PFIP) Transportation funds; and WHEREAS, staff requests to appropriate $338,220 from Public Facilities Implementation Plan (PFIP) Transportation Fund Reserves to Account 590.00.00.900-8150.41 (Interchanges); and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered all information related to this matter, as presented at the public meetings of the City Council identified herein, including any supporting reports by City Staff, and any information provided during public meetings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Manteca, as follows:
The City Council hereby finds that the facts set forth in the recitals to this Resolution are true and correct, and establish the factual basis for the City Council’s adoption of this Resolution.
Contract Amendment No. 8 with HDR Engineering, Inc. for an additional amount not to exceed $338,217.47 to provide construction and engineering support services for the SR120/McKinley Avenue Interchange project (CIP 11034) is approved.
The City Manager or designee is authorized to sign the amendment and associated documents for said project.
The amount of $338,220 from Public Facilities Implementation Plan (PFIP) Transportation Fund Reserves to Account 590.00.00.900-8150.41 (Interchanges) is appropriated for use on said project.
This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
