RESOLUTION R2022-XXX
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MANTECA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, TO APPROVE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZE A CALL FOR BIDS FOR THE WQCF GLYCERIN SYSTEM PROJECT (CIP 22060) WHEREAS, Plans, Specifications, and Estimate for the WQCF Glycerin System Project CIP 22060 (Project) are complete and are available for review in the Engineering Department; and WHEREAS, the Project includes the installation of glycerin tanks and dosing equipment needed to accelerate process of converting ammonia to nitrogen gas at the City’s Wastewater Quality Control Facility (WQCF); and WHEREAS, glycerin is a soluble carbon source that speeds up the denitrification process (i.e. conversion of ammonia to nitrogen gas) and allows for additional denitrification in the anoxic basins; and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered all information related to this matter.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Manteca, as follows:
The City Council hereby finds that the facts set forth in the recitals to this Resolution are true and correct, and establish the factual basis for the City Council’s adoption of this Resolution.
The City Council hereby approves the Plans, Specifications, and Estimate for the WQCF Glycerin System Project CIP 22060.
The City Council does hereby accept the Invitation to Bid for the WQCF Glycerin System Project CIP 22060 and hereby instructs City Manager or designee for the City of Manteca, to sign same, and authorizes issuance of the Notice to Invite Bids.
This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Manteca at a public meeting of said City Council held on the 19th day of July 2022, by the following vote:
