RESOLUTION R22XX-XX
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MANTECA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING RESCINDING ITS PROCLAMATION OF JANUARY 18, 2022 RECOGNIZING “HEALTH FOR HUMANITY – YOGATHON 2022” WHEREAS, on January 18, 2022, the City Council for the City of Manteca issued a proclamation recognizing “Health for Humanity – Yogathon 2022” from January 15, 2022 through January 30, 2022; and WHEREAS, on July 19, 2022, the City Council provided consensus to staff to work on rescinding the proclamation; and WHEREAS, the City of Manteca also wishes to issue an apology to all individuals and/or entities who were hurt, offended, and/or negatively impacted by the decision of the City to issue the above noted proclamation; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Manteca, as follows:
A. The City officially and formally rescinds the January 18, 2022 proclamation recognizing January 15, 2022 – January 30, 2022 as “Health for Humanity – Yogathon 2022”.
B. The City wishes to issue an apology to all individuals and/or entities who were hurt, offended, and/or negatively impacted by the decision of the City to issue the above noted proclamation.
C. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Manteca at a public meeting of said City Council held on the 3rd day of August, 2022, by the following vote:
