AMENDMENT NUMBER 1 TO THE INTERIM CITY MANAGER CONTRACT BETWEEN THE
CITY OF MANTECA AND TONI LUNDGREN
This Amendment No. 1 (“Amendment”) to the contract between the City of Manteca and Toni Lundgren is made and entered into this 20th day of September, 2022, by and between Ms. Toni Lundgren (“Lundgren”) and the City of Manteca, a municipal corporation, by and through the City Council (“City”) (together the “Parties”).
RECITALS
A. WHEREAS, On March 15, 2022, the City of Manteca approved a contract for Lundgren to serve as Interim City Manager (the “Contract”); B. WHEREAS, Section 12 of the Contract allows the Parties to mutually agree to amend the Contract in writing; C. WHEREAS, on August 29, 2022, the City Council delegated the City Attorney to negotiate an amendment to the Contract with Lundgren, to bring back before the City Council for consideration at the next regularly scheduled meeting; and D. WHEREAS, the City desires to amend the Contract between the City and Lundgren.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties hereby agree as follows:
1. Section 1 of the Contract is hereby amended to read as follows (with a strike through showing the original language):
“1. beginning March 16, 2022 through December 12, 2022 March 31, 2023, at 6pm (the day before new City Councilmembers and/or a Mayor are sworn in), unless terminated earlier as set out herein.
2. Section 3 of the Contract is hereby amended to read as follows (with a strike through showing the original language):
“3. CITY agrees to pay LUNDGREN a base salary of $200,000 $220,000/year subject to applicable payroll taxes and withholdings…”
3. Except as otherwise provided in this Amendment, the Contract shall continue in full force and effect.
TO EFFECTUATE THIS AMENDMENT, each of the Parties has caused this contract to be executed by its duly authorized representative as of the date set forth in the introductory paragraph on page 1 above.
