RESOLUTION R2022-XXX
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MANTECA, State of California, ADOPTING THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE cITY OF mANTECA AND wOOD rODGERS, INC. FOR THE PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE nILE GARDEN WELL 30 WATER SUPPLY PROJECT CIP 21034 WHEREAS, the City of Manteca (City), intends to complete designs for the Nile Garden Well 30 Water Supply Project (Project) (CIP 21034); and WHEREAS, the City issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) on April 6, 2022, for the preparation of biddable plans and specifications for the Project; and WHEREAS, responses to all received requests for clarification were published on the City’s website on May 5, 2022; and WHEREAS, three firms submitted responses to the RFP; and WHEREAS, the evaluation committee consisted of three (3) panel members who evaluated and scored each RFP; and WHEREAS, Wood Rodgers was selected as the most responsible, responsive and best-qualified firm to provide Services to the Project; and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered all information related to this matter, as presented at the public meetings of the City Council identified herein, including any supporting reports by City Staff, and any information provided during public meetings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Manteca, as follows:
The City Council hereby finds that the facts set forth in the recitals to this Resolution are true and correct, and establish the factual basis for the City Council’s adoption of this Resolution.
Authorizes the City Manager or designee to sign the agreement and associated documents between Wood Rodgers, Inc. for the Nile Garden Well 30 Water Supply Project (CIP 21034) for an amount of $505,447.00.
Authorizes the City Manager or designee to, approve project contingencies, issue change orders, and amend the agreement as necessary.
Authorizes the City manager or designee to approve change orders not to exceed 15% ($75,817.00) of the contract amount for a project total of $581,2640.00.
This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Manteca at a public meeting of said City Council held on the 20th day of September, 2022, by the following vote:
