RESOLUTION R20XX-XX
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MANTECA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH HINDERLITER, DE LLAMAS AND ASSOCIATES, DBA HDL COMPANIES, FOR BUSINESS LICENSE TAX ADMINISTRATION AND COMPLIANCE MANAGEMENT SERVICES WHEREAS, Section 5.04.020 Requirement of the Manteca Municipal Code requires all businesses, trades, professions, callings, and occupations specified in the title to pay for and obtain a business license from the City before first operating in the City; and WHEREAS, the City’s Finance Department administers the business licensing process and collects business license taxes; and WHEREAS, the City contracts with Hinderliter de Llamas and Associates, dba HdL Companies for administration services of transient occupancy tax, including short-term rentals, and for sales tax, property tax, and cannabis audit, reporting, and management services; and WHEREAS, the City has the option to contract with HdL Companies for Business Licensing Tax Administration and Compliance Management Services; and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered all information related to this matter, as presented at the public meetings of the City Council identified herein, including any supporting reports by City Staff, and any information provided during public meetings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Manteca, as follows:
The City Council hereby finds that the facts set forth in the recitals to this Resolution are true and correct, and establish the factual basis for the City Council’s adoption of this Resolution.
The City Council of the City of Manteca does hereby approve the Master Services Agreement with HdL Companies for Business Licensing Tax Administration and Compliance Management Services.
The City Council authorizes the City Manager to execute the agreement.
This Resolution shall take effect on the effective date immediately.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Manteca at a public meeting of said City Council held on the 21st day of February, 2023, by the following vote:
