RESOLUTION R2023-XX
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MANTECA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING A BUDGET APPROPRIATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $75,000 FROM THE GOLF COURSE UNDESIGNATED RESERVES TO PROFESSIONAL SERVICES GENERAL (ACCOUNT 620.40.55.966-6000.01) FOR TREE MAINTENANCE AT THE MANTECA PARK GOLF COURSE WHEREAS, during a series of storms in January and February 2023, heavy rain and winds caused severe tree damage on the Golf Course causing trees to fall and damage surrounding areas. Furthermore, deferred preventative tree maintenance is also needed; and WHEREAS, in order to complete storm clean up and perform additional tree maintenance, to assist in preventing further damage, contracted services are needed to assist current Golf staff; and WHEREAS, a budget appropriation of $75,000 is required to move forward with the needed stump mitigation and additional pruning; and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered all information related to this matter, as presented at the public meetings of the City Council identified herein, including any supporting reports by City Staff, and any information provided during public meetings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Manteca, as follows:
The City Council hereby finds that the facts set forth in the recitals to this Resolution are true and correct, and establish the factual basis for the City Council’s adoption of this Resolution.
City Council authorizes a budget appropriation in the amount of $75,000 from the Golf Course undesignated reserves to Professional Services General (Account No. 620.40.55.966-6000.01) for needed work to the Golf Course trees.
This Resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its adoption.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Manteca at a public meeting of said City Council held on the 21st day of March, 2023, by the following vote:
