RESOLUTION R2023-XX
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MANTECA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A BUDGET APPROPRIATION OF $23,600 FROM DEVELOPMENT SERVICES UNDESIGNATED RESERVES TO DEVELOPMENT SERVICES DEVELOPMENT REVIEW PROFESSIONAL SERVICES GENERAL (340.30.40.400-6000.01) ACCOUNT WHEREAS, landscape review and analysis is an integral part of the Development Review process for all entitlement projects; and WHEREAS, City Council directed staff to update development landscape requirements to exceed State water conservation requirements; and WHEREAS, the City’s landscape standards and tree ordinance need to be updated to provide better direction to applicants who pursue both residential and non-residential development; and WHEREAS, the City uses topic-specific experts when revising standards to ensure that the most up-to-date information is used to produce informed and relevant code requirements and standards; and WHEREAS, the proposed budget appropriation will allow funding for Development Services to contract with a licensed landscape architect or landscape engineering firm to review and provide recommendations to update the City’s current landscape standards and tree ordinance; and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered all information related to this matter as presented, including any supporting reports by City Staff, and any information provided during public meetings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Manteca, as follows:
The City Council hereby finds that the facts set forth in the recitals to this Resolution are true and correct, and establish the factual basis for the City Council’s adoption of this Resolution.
The City Council of the City of Manteca does herby approve a budget appropriation of $23,600 from the Development Services Undesignated Reserves to the Development Services Development Review Professional Service General Account (No. 340.30.40.400.6000.01) for updated landscape development standards and tree ordinance review.
This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Manteca at a public meeting of said City Council held on the 21st day of March, 2023, by the following vote:
