RESOLUTION R20XX-XX
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MANTECA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING AN EQUITY ADJUSTMENT TO THE PARKS PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT MANAGER POSITION AND THE APPROVAL TO AMEND THE SALARY MATRIX FOR THE MANTECA MID MANAGERS ASSOCIATION (MMA) WHEREAS, in December 2022 there was a vacancy of the Parks Planning and Project Superintendent; and WHEREAS, the Parks department has reassessed the position to update the job description to bring it in alignment with department need; and WHEREAS, the job description was amended and the title changed to Parks Planning and Development Manager; and WHEREAS, a compensation and classification analysis was requested by the department and a comprehensive analysis was conducted; and WHEREAS, the analysis concluded that the position was underpaid by nearly 9% of the median range of comparable agencies; and WHEREAS, a recommendation was made to increase the salary of the position to be within the median range of comparable agencies; and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered all information related to this matter, as presented at the public meetings of the City Council identified herein, including any supporting reports by City Staff, and any information provided during public meetings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Manteca, as follows:
1. The City Council hereby finds that the facts set forth in the recitals to this Resolution are true and correct, and establish the factual basis for the City Council’s adoption of this Resolution.
2. Approve an equity adjustment to the Parks Planning and Development Manager increasing the range from 47A to 50A.
3. Approve the MMA Salary Matrix for Manteca Mid-Manager’s Association (MMA).
3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Manteca at a public meeting of said City Council held on the 21st day of March 2023, by the following vote:
