RESOLUTION R2023-XXX
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MANTECA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING CHANGE ORDER NO. 4; ACCEPTING THE WASTEWATER QUALITY CONTROL FACILITY BAR SCREEN PROJECT (CIP NO. 21006 AND 22056) AS COMPLETE; AND APPROVING THE RELEASE OF THE RETENTION PAYMENT THIRTY-FIVE DAYS AFTER THE DATE OF ACCEPTANCE WHEREAS, on December 7, 2021, the City Council awarded the Wastewater Quality Control Facility (WQCF) Bar Screen Project – Phase 1 (CIP 21006) to GSE Construction Company in the amount of $939,337; and WHEREAS, on May 17, 2022, the City Council approved Change Order No. 1 for $732,324, funded through CIP 22056; and WHEREAS, on August 16, 2022, the City Council approved Change Order No. 2 for $25,650, funded through CIP 21006; and WHEREAS, on November 1, 2022, the City Council approved Change Order No. 3 for $31,711, funded through CIP 21006 and 22056; and WHEREAS, minor additions to bar screen conduits and savings from Change Order No. 1 are added to the project with Change Order No. 4 for ($17,197.50), funded through CIP 21006; and WHEREAS, the WQCF Bar Screen Project – Phase 1 and 2, have been completed in accordance with the approved plans and all phases of the improvements have been inspected, tested, and completed to the satisfaction of the Public Works Department of the CITY; and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered all information related to this matter as presented at the public meetings of the City Council identified herein, including any supporting reports by City Staff, and any information provided during public meetings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Manteca, as follows:
The City Council hereby finds that the facts set forth in the recitals to this Resolution are true and correct, and establish the factual basis for the City Council’s adoption of this Resolution.
The City Council hereby approves Change Order No. 4 and authorizes the City Manager to sign and approve any future change orders consistent with the City’s purchasing policy.
The City Council hereby finds that the WQCF Bar Screen Project – Phase 1 and 2 are complete and are hereby accepted.
The City Council authorizes the release of the retention payment thirty-five days after the date of acceptance.
This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Manteca at a public meeting of said City Council held on the 2nd day of May, 2023, by the following vote:
