RESOLUTION R2023-XXX
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MANTECA, State of California, Accepting the Airport Way Pavement Improvement Project CIP 11027 & Library Parking Lot Renovation CIP 22062 As Complete WHEREAS, in 2019, the City Council directed staff to develop short-term and long-term plan to improve pavement conditions for roads with a PCI of 50 or less; and WHEREAS, on May 17, 2022, City Council authorized the construction contract to be awarded to George Reed Inc. for an amount of $2,957,000; and WHEREAS, the project construction and construction management total approved budget of $3,863,530; and WHEREAS, construction was completed by George Reed Inc. in the summer 2022; and WHEREAS, the project was constructed in general conformance with the contract plans and specifications; and WHEREAS, change orders were approved in the amount of $244,156.76 (8.25% of contract) for extra asphalt over aggregate base, road repair dig-outs, road striping and night work in Caltrans freeway overpass; and WHEREAS, the final construction cost is $3,201,156.76 and final Payment Certification has been signed by the contractor and attached for reference; and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered all information related to this matter, as presented at the public meetings of the City Council identified herein, including any supporting reports by City Staff, and any information provided during public meetings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Manteca, as follows:
The City Council hereby finds that the facts set forth in the recitals to this Resolution are true and correct, and establish the factual basis for the City Council’s adoption of this Resolution.
The City Council of the City of Manteca does hereby accept the improvement work and the Notice of Completion for the Airport Way Pavement Improvement Project (CIP 11027) & Library Parking Lot Renovation (CIP 22062).
Instructs the City Clerk for the City of Manteca, to attend to the proper recordation of Notice of Completion for the Airport Way Pavement Improvement Project (CIP 11027) & Library Parking Lot Renovation (CIP 22062).
Authorize the City Manager or designee execute all associated documents, and take all appropriate actions necessary to carry out the purpose and intent of the resolution.
This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Manteca at a public meeting of said City Council held on the 20th day of June, 2023, by the following vote:
