RESOLUTION R20XX-XX
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MANTECA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, APPROVING MANTECA TRANSIT’S ZERO-EMISSION BUS (ZEB) ROLLOUT PLAN WHEREAS, on December, 2018, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) approved the Innovative Clean Transit (ICT) Regulation; and WHEREAS, the Innovative Clean Transit (ICT) requires all public transit agencies in the state to transition from conventional buses (gasoline, compressed natural gas, diesel, etc.) to ZEBs (battery-electric or fuel cell electric) by 2040; and WHEREAS, the ZEB Rollout Plan is a living document intended to guide the agency’s conversion to a ZEB fleet and may be updated based on changes in vehicle technology, fleet size and operation requirements; and WHEREAS, Manteca Transit ZEB Rollout Plan must be submitted to CARB by June 30, 2023.
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered all information related to this matter, as presented at the public meetings of the City Council identified herein, including any supporting reports by City Staff, and any information provided during public meetings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Manteca, as follows:
1. The City Council hereby finds that the facts set forth in the recitals to this Resolution are true and correct, and establish the factual basis for the City Council’s adoption of this Resolution.
2. Approves and adopts the City of Manteca’s ZEB Rollout Plan is hereby approved and adopted.
3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Manteca at a public meeting of said City Council held on the 20th day of June, 2023, by the following vote:
