RE: SR 120/McKinley Ave Interchange Project HDR Amendment No. 9 Dear Mr. Boonsalat,
The contract for engineering support during construction for the SR 120/McKinley Ave Interchange project has made substantial progress. The project began construction in August 2022 and has an anticipated construction duration of 13 months. The complexity of the interchange project has led to a higher number of requests from the contractor for RFI's, submittal reviews, and CCO's than was originally scoped and estimated during Amendment #8. A summary of the initially assumed RFI’s and CCO’s versus the current status is summarized in task 10.

Additionally, this scope of services includes additional items related to relocation assistance program and finalizing the lot line adjustment process of the project for two of the parcels that was not included in the original scope of services for design support during construction. The following scope items represent tasks necessary to provide finalize the lot line adjustments per the City of Manteca requirements and continue to provide relocation assistance to applicable property owners.

This amendment will also allow the HDR team to continue to provide design support during construction.

Task 8 – HDR Subconsultants
Bender Rosenthal (BRI)
Bender Rosenthal Inc's subconsultant agreement with HDR Engineering commenced on May 18, 2016 and has been amended multiple times and is currently expired. Although the right of way acquisition process for the Interchange Project was completed back in November 2021, BRI has continued to support the City through the relocation assistance program. Relocated property owners have up to 18 months from date they vacate the premises to file relocation assistance claims. In one instance, a property owner vacated the acquired parcel in March 2022.

The city has requested that BRI perform an updated Replacement Housing Valuation to determine the price differential for a mobile home that the city purchased. BRI respectfully requests a budget amendment for additional project management costs and relocation assistance program assistance with the property owner’s relocation claims and an extension of the BRI contract until December 31, 2023.

Deliverables:
 Updated Replacement Housing Valuation
