RESOLUTION R2023-XXX
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MANTECA, State of California, approving Cooperative Agreement NO. 10-0570 and NO. 10-0571 with Caltrans for State Route 120/Main Street (CIP 23032) and State Route 120/Airport Way (CIP 23031) Project Study Reports for an amount not to exceed $60,000; and authorizing City ManageR or designee to complete and execute all associated documents, and take all appropriate actions necessary to carry out the purpose and intent of the resolution WHEREAS, the City of Manteca (City), in cooperation with the California Department of Transportation (CalTrans), and the San Joaquin Council of Governments (SJCOG), proposes to develop Project Study Reports (PSRs) for two new Diverging Diamond Interchanges (DDI) at State Route (SR) 120/Airport Way and SR120/Main Street (Project); and WHEREAS, in February 2023 City executed Cooperative Agreements C-23-051 and C-23-052 with SJCOG allowing for disbursement of $500,000 in Measure K grant funding earmarked for regional congestion relief projects; and WHEREAS, additionally, City entered into a contract with Mark Thomas and Company, Inc. to develop the Project PSRs for a total not-to-exceed amount of $499,792; and WHEREAS, since the Project involves Caltrans infrastructure, City is required to enter into a cooperative agreement with Caltrans and reimburse Caltrans for staff time; and WHEREAS, Caltrans has provided the cost estimates below for the two PSRs No.

WHEREAS, the City Council has considered all information related to this matter, as presented at the public meetings of the City Council identified herein, including any supporting reports by City Staff, and any information provided during public meetings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Manteca, as follows:
The City Council hereby finds that the facts set forth in the recitals to this Resolution are true and correct, and establish the factual basis for the City Council’s adoption of this Resolution.
The City Council hereby approves the cooperative agreement 10-0570 and 10-0571 with Caltrans for SR 120/Main Street (CIP 23032) and SR 120/Airport Way (CIP 23031) Project Study Reports for an amount not-to-exceed $60,000.
The City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager or designee to complete and execute all associated documents, and take all appropriate actions necessary to carry out the purpose and intent of the resolution.
This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
