RESOLUTION R2023-XX
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MANTECA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH KIMLEY HORN TO DEVELOP A FIBER MASTER PLAN FOR A NOT-TO-EXCEED AMOUNT OF $101,200 WHEREAS, on December 20, 2022, the City Council approved the acceptance of the $101,200 California Public Utilities Commission’s Local Area Technical Assistance (LATA) Grant Program; and WHEREAS, an RFP process was approved by Council and conducted by the staff to secure a consulting firm to develop a Fiber Master Plan for the City; and WHEREAS, Kimley Horn, a firm with extensive experience developing Fiber Master Plans utilizing federal grants, won the bid; and WHEREAS, the staff is seeking approval of the professional service agreement with Kimley Horn to complete the Fiber Master Plan; and WHEREAS, Kimley Horn is to develop a Fiber Master Plan utilizing reimbursement-based grant funding not to exceed $101,200; and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered all information related to this matter, as presented at the public meetings of the City Council identified herein, including any supporting reports by City Staff, and any information provided during public meetings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Manteca, as follows:
The City Council hereby finds that the facts set forth in the recitals to this Resolution are true and correct, and establish the factual basis for the City Council’s adoption of this Resolution.
The City Manager or designee will be empowered to execute the professional services agreement on behalf of the City and complete all necessary steps to fulfill the agreement.
This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Manteca at a public meeting of said City Council held on the 15th day of August, 2023, by the following vote:
