RESOLUTION R2023-XX
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MANTECA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AWARDING THE REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL TO PROVIDE JANITORIAL SERVICES FOR THE MANTECA TRANSIT CENTER TO BUDDHA CAPITAL CORPORATION DBA VANGUARD CLEANING SYSTEMS OF THE CENTRAL VALLEY AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A THREE-YEAR AGREEMENT FROM AUGUST 17, 2023 THROUGH AUGUST 16, 2026 FOR AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $132,000, WITH TWO OPTIONAL ONE-YEAR EXTENSIONS NOT TO EXCEED $44,000 PER YEAR.
WHEREAS, a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Janitorial Services was released on June 15, 2023 soliciting competitive proposals; and WHEREAS, after a competitive process, Buddha Capital Corporation DBA Vanguard Cleaning Systems of the Central Valley is found to be the most responsive bidder; and WHEREAS, staff recommends City Council award the RFP and enter an agreement with Vanguard Cleaning Systems; and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered all information related to this matter, as presented at the public meetings of the City Council identified herein, including any supporting reports by City Staff, and any information provided during public meetings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Manteca, as follows:
The City Council hereby finds that the facts set forth in the recitals to this Resolution are true and correct, and establish the factual basis for the City Council’s adoption of this Resolution.
Award the RFP for Janitorial Services to Buddha Capital Corporation DBA Vanguard Cleaning Systems of the Central Valley.
Authorize the City Manager to execute the Agreement at a total cost not-to-exceed $132,000 for a three (3) year base term from August 17, 2023 through August 16, 2026, and authorize City Manager to execute two (2) optional one (1) year extensions at an amount not-to-exceed $44,000 per year.
4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
