B.1. 23-325 CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL - EXISTING LITIGATION - (Government Code Section 54956.1(d)(1)) - City of Manteca v. Vardiner Singh - San Joaquin County Superior Court Case No.
STK-CV-UED-2021-0010897.
B.2. 23-326 CONFERENCE WITH LABOR NEGOTIATORS (Government Code Section 54957.6): City designated representatives: Toni Lundgren, City Manager, Jose Jasso, Interim Assistant City Manager, and Dawn Cortesi, Interim Director of Human Resources. Employee Organizations: Manteca Police Officers’ Association, Manteca Police Employee’s Association, Manteca Firefighters IAFF Local 1874, Operating Engineers Local Union No. 3 (OE3), Manteca Technical and Support Services Association, Manteca Mid-Manager Association, and Manteca Public Safety Management Association.
C. REPORT ON ACTION TAKEN IN CLOSED SESSION: City Attorney Upon returning to open session at 6:03 p.m., City Attorney David Nefouse noted the following reportable action for item B.1, in a 5-0 vote, the City Council has agreed to a settlement to resolve and release all issues and claims in this eminent domain litigation, and will provide just compensation for the property in question for $2,450,000. Item B.2, City Attorney David Nefouse noted no reportable action.
D. ADJOURNMENT: Mayor Singh adjourned the meeting at 6:05 p.m. ___________________________
