RESOLUTION R2023-XX
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MANTECA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE DISSOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MANTECA RECREATIONAL FACILITIES INCORPORATED WHEREAS, The City of Manteca Recreational Facilities Incorporated was created on October 30, 1964; and WHEREAS, The City of Manteca Recreational Facilities Incorporated (the “Corporation”) is a non-profit corporation formed to render financial assistance to the City of Manteca by financing the acquisition, construction and improvement of certain public facilities for the City; and WHEREAS, the Corporation has been inactive since October 2013; and WHEREAS, In January 2017, the City of Manteca indicated to the Secretary of State that the Corporation was in the process of being dissolved; and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered all information related to this matter, as presented at the public meetings of the City Council identified herein, including any supporting reports by City Staff, and any information provided during public meetings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Manteca, as follows:
The City Council hereby finds that the facts set forth in the recitals to this Resolution are true and correct, and establish the factual basis for the City Council’s adoption of this Resolution.
The City Clerk is authorized to send a certified copy of this Resolution to the Secretary of State to officially dissolve the Corporation.
The City Clerk is authorized to take any other necessary measures to dissolve the Corporation.
4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Manteca at a public meeting of said City Council held on the 15th day of August, 2023, by the following vote:
