RESOLUTION R2024-XX
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MANTECA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE SALARY MATRIX FOR PART-TIME STAFF WHEREAS, the City has the need for temporary staff who can perform special projects, temporarily fill vacant positions and act as internal substitutes for consultants; and WHEREAS, City Council approved the addition of the Program Specialist class. At the time the job description included a range of $20-100 an hour but the salary was not included in the salary matrix; and WHEREAS, The City Attorneys Office has identified the need to have a position available to provide temporary additional legal support in lieu of hiring outside counsel; and WHEREAS, The City has reviewed the compensation provided by these positions at other agencies and recommended the following salary ranges: Program Specialist – $20 to $120 hourly and Staff Counsel - $70 to $135 hourly: and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered all information related to this matter, as presented at the public meetings of the City Council identified herein, including any supporting reports by City Staff, and any information provided during public meetings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Manteca, as follows:
1. The City Council hereby finds that the facts set forth in the recitals to this Resolution are true and correct, and establish the factual basis for the City Council’s adoption of this Resolution.
2. The City Council of the City of Manteca does hereby approve the salary matrix for part-time staff as shown on “Exhibit A”.
3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Manteca at a public meeting of said City Council held on the 16th day of January, 2024, by the following vote:
