RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MANTECA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, APPROVING AN EQUITY ADJUSTMENT FOR THE DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES CLASSIFICATION AND APPROVE THE EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT SALARY MATRIX WHEREAS, the Human Resources Director is a critical leadership role at the City of Manteca; and WHEREAS, in order to ensure the City is able to recruit and retain the most qualified candidate, a compensation study has been completed; and WHEREAS, this compensation study showed the City to be well below the median for the survey Cities with similar responsibilities; and WHEREAS, increasing the Human Resources Director salary will allow the City to recognize the position’s responsibility for the supervision of payroll; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Manteca, as follows:
The City Council hereby finds that the facts set forth in the recitals to this Resolution are true and correct, and establish the factual basis for the City Council’s adoption of this Resolution.
2. Approval of an equity adjustment to the Human Resources Director increasing the salary range from 65AM ($152,832 to $185,772) to salary range 69AM ($168,360 to $204,648).
3. Approval of the Executive Management Compensation Plan Salary Matrix.
4. This Resolution shall take effect upon adoption.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Manteca at a public meeting of said City Council held on the 16th day of January, 2024 by the following vote:
