RESOLUTION R2024-XX
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MANTECA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA APPROVING AMENDMENT NO.2 TO THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICE CONTRACT WITH HYDROSCIENCE ENGINEERS, INC. FOR THE WATER MASTER PLAN AND WATER RATE STUDY WHEREAS, the 2020-2021 Adopted Budget included $2,450,000 for preparation of the Water Master Plan and Water Rate Study CIP 22041 (Project); and WHEREAS, on June 15, 2021 the City Council adopted Resolution R2021-79 (Attachment 2) approving the Professional Service Agreement with HydroScience Engineer’s, Inc. (Attachment 3) in the amount of $963,926; and WHEREAS, on December 20, 2022, the City Council approved Amendment No. 1 (Attachment 4) to provide additional water modeling associated with Oakwood Lake Water District’s Distribution System in the amount of $26,000; and WHEREAS, with the Water Master Plan now substantially complete, additional funding is needed to continue and finalize the rate study; and WHEREAS, this effort is estimated to cost an additional $300,000; and WHEREAS, Amendment No. 2 (Attachment 5) includes an increase in the not to exceed compensation amount to $1,289,926 and extension in the time of performance to July 31, 2025; and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered all information related to this matter, as presented at the public meetings of the City Council identified herein, including any supporting reports by City Staff, and any information provided during public meetings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Manteca, as follows:
The City Council hereby finds that the facts set forth in the recitals to this Resolution are true and correct, and establish the factual basis for the City Council’s adoption of this Resolution.
The City Council hereby approves Amendment No. 2 to the Professional Service Contract with HydroScience Engineers, Inc. for the Water Master Plan and Water Rate Study.
The City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager or designee to take all appropriate actions necessary to carry out the purpose and intent of the resolution.
This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Manteca at a public meeting of said City Council held on the 6th day of February, 2024, by the following vote:
