RESOLUTION R2024-XX
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MANTECA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE ALLOCATION OF CDBG AND HOME FUNDS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2024-25 WHEREAS, the City is expected to receive approximately $408,428 in CDBG funds and $146,529 in HOME funds for Fiscal Year 2024-25; and WHEREAS, the City Council must conduct a public hearing to consider requests for these funds; and WHEREAS, the City published a Notice of Funding Availability in December 2023; and WHEREAS, the City received a total of $487,474 in requests for CDBG funds, and; WHEREAS, the City Council has considered all information related to this matter, as presented at the public meetings of the City Council identified herein, including any supporting reports by City Staff, and any information provided during public meetings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Manteca, as follows:
1. The City Council hereby finds that the facts set forth in the recitals to this Resolution are true and correct, and establish the factual basis for the City Council’s adoption of this Resolution.
2. Allocate CDBG funds in the following amount:
$3,000 to Emergency Food Bank of Stockton/San Joaquin County (Mobile Farmer’ Market) (Acct. No. 140.03.00.920-6620.03); $12,000 to Give Every Child a Chance (Acct. No. 140.03.00.920-6620.13); $8,619.60 to H.O.P.E. Family Shelters (Acct. No. 140.03.00.920-6620.09); $6,000 to Human Services Agency of San Joaquin County (Meals on Wheels Program) (Acct. No. 140.03.00.920-6620.06); $8,619.60 to PREVAIL – Formerly known as Women’s Center – Youth & Family (Acct No. 140.03.00.920-6620.12); $9,025 to San Joaquin Fair Housing (Acct. No. 140.03.00.920-6620.07); $14,000 to Wide Horizons, Inc. (Account to be determined by Finance upon approval); $150,000 to Manteca Navigation Center (Acct. No. 140.03.00.920-6620.22); $197,163.80 to H.O.P.E. – Additional Emergency Shelter Units (Account to be determined by Finance upon approval).
3. Allocate HOME funds in the amount of $146,529 to the Manteca Navigation Center/Affordable Housing project (Acct. No. 130.03.00.910-6610.06).
4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Manteca at a public meeting of said City Council held on the 5th day of March, 2024, by the following vote:
