RESOLUTION R2024-XX
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MANTECA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, APPROVING TWO NEW CLASSIFICATIONS IN SOLID WASTE FOR SOLID WASTE SUPERVISOR AND SOLID WASTE COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST AND APPROVE THE SALARY MATRIX FOR THE MID MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION (MMA) AND OPERATING ENGINEERS LOCAL UNION NO. 3 (OE3) WHEREAS, the Council previously approved two new classifications in the solid waste division with tentative salaries in the Fiscal Year 2023-24 mid-year budget; and WHEREAS, the Human Resources Department conducted a classification analysis on both positions; and WHEREAS, the Human Resources Department is recommending the Solid Waste Supervisor at a pay grade of 45A in the Mid Management Association (MMA), which is within ten percent of the current market median; and WHEREAS, the Human Resources Department is recommending the Solid Waste Compliance Specialist at a pay grade of 38 in the Operating Engineers Local Union No. 3 (OE3), which is within ten percent of the current market median; and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered all information related to this matter, as presented at the public meetings of the City Council identified herein, including any supporting reports by City Staff, and any information provided during public meetings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Manteca, as follows:
The City Council hereby finds that the facts set forth in the recitals to this Resolution are true and correct, and establish the factual basis for the City Council’s adoption of this Resolution.
The City Council hereby approves the Mid Management Association Salary Matrix effective May 21, 2024.
The City Council hereby approves the Operating Engineers Local Union No. 3 Salary Matrix effective May 21, 2024.
4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Manteca at a public meeting of said City Council held on the 21st day of May, 2024, by the following vote:
