RESOLUTION R2024-XX
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MANTECA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH HIS WAY REFUGE CENTER FOR OPERATIONAL SERVICES AT THE UNSHELTERED EMERGENCY CENTER FOR A 1-YEAR TERM FROM JULY 1, 2024, THROUGH JUNE 30, 2025 WHEREAS, the City’s existing Agreement for operational services at the Unsheltered Emergency Center expires on June 30, 2024; and WHEREAS, a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Unsheltered Emergency Center – Service Provider was released on April 18, 2024 soliciting competitive proposals; and WHEREAS, after a competitive process, His Way Refuge Center was found to be the most responsive bidder; and WHEREAS, staff recommends entering into an agreement with His Way Refuge Center; and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered all information related to this matter, as presented at the public meetings of the City Council identified herein, including any supporting reports by City Staff, and any information provided during public meetings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Manteca, as follows:
1. The City Council hereby finds that the facts set forth in the recitals to this Resolution are true and correct and establish the factual basis for the City Council’s adoption of this Resolution.
2. That the City Manager is authorized to execute the agreement for a total not-to-exceed amount of $844,386.57 for one-year term from July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025, and all associated documents, and delegates any and all necessary authority to the City Manager to effectuate this agreement, including, but not limited to any amendments that may arise during the course of the agreement term.
3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Manteca at a public meeting of said City Council held on the 18th day of June, 2024, by the following vote:
