RESOLUTION R2024-XX
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MANTECA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS FOR ALTERNATIVE FUEL VEHICLE GRANTS FROM THE SAN JOAQUIN VALLEY AIR POLLUTION CONTROL DISTRICT, AND AUTHORIZING CITY MANAGER OR THEIR DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE SAID APPLICATIONS AND ALL ASSOCIATED DOCUMENTS WHEREAS, the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District (SJVAPCD) has authorized the establishment of the Public Benefit Grant Program, providing funds for the purchase of alternative fuel vehicles; and WHEREAS, the SJVAPCD administers the grant Program and has requested applications from eligible agencies; and WHEREAS, said adopted procedures established by the SJVAPCD requires applicants to certify by resolution the approval to submit applications to the SJVAPCD; and WHEREAS, the City of Manteca desires to apply to the SJVAPCD to participate in the Program for the purchase of alternative fuel vehicles; WHEREAS, the City Council has considered all information related to this matter, as presented at the public meetings of the City Council identified herein, including any supporting reports by City Staff, and any information provided during public meetings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Manteca, as follows:
1. The City Council hereby finds that the facts set forth in the recitals to this Resolution are true and correct, and establish the factual basis for the City Council’s adoption of this Resolution.
2. Approves the filing of applications for the Public Benefit Grant Program from the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District and acceptance of grant funds and participation therein, consistent with constitutional and local law requirements and this resolution.
3. Appoints and authorizes the City Manager or their designee as the agent for the City of Manteca to execute and submit all application documents, materials, certifications, agreements, amendments, requests for reimbursement, perform any necessary budget amendments, and so on which may be necessary in the pursuit hereof, subject to prior approval as to form by the City Attorney's Office.
4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Manteca at a public meeting of said City Council held on the July day of 16, 2024, by the following vote:
