RESOLUTION R2024-XX
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MANTECA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE FOLLOWING: 1) ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF FINANCE JOB CLASSIFICATION; 2) APPROVE THE UPDATED SALARY MATRIX FOR THE CONFIDENTIAL EMPLOYEES’ UNIT WHICH INCLUDES THE ASSISTANT DIRECTOR SALARY, SALARY ADJUSTMENT FOR ACCOUNTING MANAGER; 3) APPROVE THE UPDATED CONFIDENTIAL EMPLOYEES’ UNIT PLAN; AND 3) APPROVE THE BUDGET APPROPRIATIONS TO FISCAL YEAR BUDGET 2024/25 TO COVER THE INCREASED SALARY AND BENEFIT COSTS.
WHEREAS, the Human Resources Department conducted a classification analysis on the Assistant Director of Finance job classification; and WHEREAS, the Human Resources Department is recommending the Assistant Director of Finance job classification to be placed at wage grade 64A in the Confidential Employees’ Unit salary matrix; and WHEREAS, the Human Resources Department conducted a market salary analysis reviewing the Accounting Manager and as a result it is recommended for a salary adjustment to wage grade 61A in the Confidential Employees’ Unit salary matrix; and WHEREAS, it is recommended that the City Council approve budget appropriations to Fiscal Year budget 2024-25 to cover the increased salary and benefit costs; and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered all information related to this matter, as presented at the public meetings of the City Council identified herein, including any supporting reports by City Staff, and any information provided during public meetings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Manteca, as follows:
The City Council hereby finds that the facts set forth in the recitals to this Resolution are true and correct, and establish the factual basis for the City Council’s adoption of this Resolution, and authorizes the City Manager to execute any and all documents and/or amendments to effectuate this Resolution and related attachments.
The City Council hereby approves the Assistant Director of Finance job specification (Exhibit A) effective September 3, 2024; and The City Council hereby approves the Confidential Employees’ Unit salary matrix (Exhibit B) updated September 3, 2024.
The City Council hereby approves the Confidential Employees’ Unit Compensation and Benefits Plan (Exhibit C) updated September 3, 2024.
The City Council hereby approves an amendment to the Fiscal Year 2024-25 by an increase in the amount of $65,605 to the General Fund, within the Finance Department, funded by General Fund Unassigned Reserves.
6. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Manteca at a public meeting of said City Council held on the 3rd day of September, 2024, by the following vote:
