Dear Cal OES Staff,
It is my pleasure to express my unwavering support for Courts of Praise Community Church's application for the California State Nonprofit Security Grant Program. Over the course of the past 17 years, Courts of Praise has become an integral part of the Manteca community, enriching the lives of its residents through a wide range of impactful services and activities.
Courts of Praise has consistently demonstrated their unwavering commitment to the well-being of the community. Their efforts encompass feeding and clothing the homeless, providing counseling services to couples and assisting in healing marriages, organizing food giveaways, and facilitating Bible studies for adults and youth, empowering them to grow spiritually and become exemplary citizens.
In addition to their vital work within the Manteca community, Courts of Praise generously shares their facilities with three Spanish-speaking churches. By doing so, they foster a sense of inclusivity and unity, strengthening the bond among different cultural and religious communities.
Recently, Courts of Praise purchased a property that included two older buildings that require renovation and upgrading to enhance security measures on the premises. It is crucial that those attending services feel safe and protected. While they have encountered a few challenges in the form of break-ins, homeless encampments, and acts of vandalism, Courts of Praise remains steadfast in their commitment to providing valuable services to those in need.
By approving Courts of Praise's application for funding through the Security Grant Program, we can make a significant contribution to the City of Manteca and improve the lives of not only its residents, but also those within the region.
I wholeheartedly endorse and urge the approval of Courts of Praise's application for the Security Grant Program. Together, we can create a safe and secure community, upholding the legacy of Manteca as a 'Family City' that nurtures its residents and celebrates a unique sense of togetherness.
