RESOLUTION R2024-XXX
resolution approving A BUDGET APPROPRIATION of $75,000 to account no. 810.45.40.000-6000.08 AND Amendment No. 1 to the Professional Services Agreement with DF ENGINEERING, Inc. for PROFESSIONAL SERVICES FOR ON-CALL CIVIL IMPROVEMENT PLAN CHECKING SERVICES WHEREAS, the City uses on-call consultant civil plan check services when project size, complexity, workload, or current permit activity prevents the delivery of these services from City staff in a timely manner; and WHEREAS, the City Engineering Department remains understaffed with multiple vacancies and continues to experience very strong development activity requiring these services; and WHEREAS, in response to the conditions noted, and under the City Manager’s contract authority, the Engineering Department has utilized DF Engineering, Inc. (Consultant) to perform such on-call plan check services as needed; and WHEREAS, the Consultant’s current Agreement compensation limit has been reached and it is prudent to increase the contract limit, extend the contract term, and process a supplemental appropriation to ensure these services can continue to be provided without interruption; and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered all information related to this matter as presented at the public meetings of the City Council identified herein, including any supporting reports by City Staff and any information provided during the public meetings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Manteca, as follows:
The City Council hereby finds that the facts set forth in the recitals to this Resolution are true and correct and establish the factual basis for the City Council’s adoption of this Resolution.
The City Council hereby approves Amendment No. 1 to the Professional Services Agreement with DF Engineering, Inc. for On-Call Civil Plan checking services in the amount of $75,000, and extending the term to June 30, 2025 for a total contract not to exceed amount of $150,000.
The City Council hereby approves a supplemental budget appropriation of $75,000 from the Engineering Fund, Account No. 810.45.40.000-6000.08.
The City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute Amendment No. 1 to contract C2023-94 with DF Engineering, Inc., and take all appropriate actions to carry out the purpose and intent of the resolution.
This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
