International Transgender Day of Visibility
March 31, 2025
Whereas, the City of Manteca values the diversity and inclusion of all its residents, recognizing that a welcoming and supportive community strengthens us all; and Whereas, Transgender Day of Visibility, observed annually on March 31, is dedicated to celebrating transgender individuals, their contributions to society, and increasing awareness of the challenges they continue to face; and Whereas, transgender individuals in Manteca, and beyond contribute to the cultural, economic, and social fabric of our community and deserve to be recognized and supported in their right to live authentically and safely; and Whereas, fostering understanding, acceptance, and equality for transgender people promotes a more inclusive and unified community, ensuring that all residents feel valued and respected. The City of Manteca is committed to recognizing and honoring the contributions of all individuals, regardless of gender identity, and reaffirms its dedication to diversity and inclusion.; and Now, Therefore, I, Gary Singh, Mayor of the City of Manteca, on behalf of City Council, do proclaim March 31, 2025, as International Transgender Day of Visibility in the City of Manteca and encourage all residents to celebrate and support our transgender community members.
