RESOLUTION R2025-XXX
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MANTECA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, accepting all improvements for the Facilities Driveway Project CIP 24029 as complete, authorizing the City Clerk to file the Notice of Completion, and authorizing the City Manager or designee to complete and execute all associated documents, and take all appropriate actions necessary to carry out the purpose and intent of the resolution.
WHEREAS, on October 1, 2024, City Council awarded the construction contract C2024-169 for the Facilities Driveway Project CIP 24029 (Project) to McFadden Construction, Inc. (Contractor) for an amount of $219,115 and approved a construction contingency of $80,885 for a total project cost of $300,000; and WHEREAS, the Project was constructed in general conformance with the conformed plans and specifications; and WHEREAS, the final Project had one change order for an amount of $1,895. The change order included:
Increasing the concrete strength for the driveway and parking area Contract bid items quantity reduction in concrete.
The final project construction cost is $219,249, the Contractor has submitted the signed final payment certification (Attachment 3); and WHEREAS, there is a retention totaling approximately $9,537.45 that will be released to the Contractor no sooner than 45 days after filing of the Notice of Completion; and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered all information related to this matter, as presented at the public meetings of the City Council identified herein, including any supporting reports by City Staff, and any information provided during public meetings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Manteca, as follows:
The City Council hereby finds that the facts set forth in the recitals to this Resolution are true and correct, and establish the factual basis for the City Council’s adoption of this Resolution.
The City Council hereby accepts all improvements for the Facilities Driveway Project CIP 24029 as complete.
The City Council hereby authorizes the City Clerk to file the Notice of Completion for the Facilities Driveway Project CIP 24029.
The City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager or designee to complete and execute all associated documents and take all appropriate actions necessary to carry out the purpose and intent of this resolution.
This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Manteca at a public meeting of said City Council held on the 18th, day of March, 2025 by the following vote:
