RESOLUTION R2025-XXX
resolution OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MANTECA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, approving Amendment No. 2 to the Professional Services Agreement with DF ENGINEERING, Inc. for ON-CALL CIVIL IMPROVEMENT PLAN CHECKING SERVICES WHEREAS, the City uses on-call consultant civil plan check services when project size, complexity, workload, staffing levels, or current permit activity prevents the delivery of these services from City staff in a timely manner; and WHEREAS, the City Engineering Department continues to experience very strong development activity requiring these services and initially utilized DF Engineering, Inc. (Consultant) to perform such on-call plan check services as needed under the City Manager’s contract authority; and WHEREAS, on October 1, 2024, the City Council approved Amendment No. 1 to increase the Consultant’s contract from $75,000 to a not to exceed limit of $150,000 and extending it from December 31, 2024, to June 30, 2025; and WHEREAS, the Consultant’s contract compensation limit for Fiscal Year 2024-25 has been reached and it is prudent to process an amendment to increase the contract limit an additional $50,000 to ensure these services can continue to be provided without interruption for the remainder of this fiscal year; and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered all information related to this matter as presented at the public meetings of the City Council identified herein, including any supporting reports by City Staff and any information provided during the public meetings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Manteca, as follows:
The City Council hereby finds that the facts set forth in the recitals to this Resolution are true and correct and establish the factual basis for the City Council’s adoption of this Resolution.
The City Council hereby approves Amendment No. 2 to the Professional Services Agreement with DF Engineering, Inc. for On-Call Civil Improvement Plan Checking Services in the amount of $50,000, for a total contract not to exceed amount of $200,000.
The City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute Amendment No. 2 to contract C2023-94 with DF Engineering, Inc., and take all appropriate actions to carry out the purpose and intent of the resolution.
This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
