RESOLUTION R2025-XXX
resolution approving Amendment No. 1 to the Professional Services Agreement with FRUIT GROWERS LABORATORY, Inc. for PROFESSIONAL SERVICES FOR AS-NEEDED ANALYTICAL LABORATORY TESTING SERVICES WHEREAS, the City uses as-needed analytical laboratory testing services when development projects are completed to ensure water systems meet water quality standards; and WHEREAS, in response to the conditions noted, and under the City Manager’s contract authority, the Engineering Department has utilized Fruit Growers Laboratory, Inc. (Consultant) to perform such as-needed analytical laboratory testing services; and WHEREAS, the Consultant’s current Agreement term and compensation limit will soon be reached, and it is prudent to extend the contract term and increase the compensation limit to ensure these services can continue to be provided without interruption; and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered all information related to this matter as presented at the public meetings of the City Council identified herein, including any supporting reports by City Staff and any information provided during the public meetings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Manteca, as follows:
The City Council hereby finds that the facts set forth in the recitals to this Resolution are true and correct and establish the factual basis for the City Council’s adoption of this Resolution.
The City Council hereby approves Amendment No. 1 to the Professional Services Agreement with Fruit Growers Laboratory, Inc. for As-Needed Analytical Laboratory Testing Services in the amount of $50,000, for a total contract not-to-exceed amount of $125,000, and extending the term to June 30, 2027.
The City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager or their designee to execute Amendment No. 1 to contract C2022-98 with Fruit Growers Laboratory, Inc., and take all necessary actions to carry out the purpose and intent of the resolution.
This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
