RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MANTECA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, APPROVING APPROVE A RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDMENT NO. 1 WITH BEAR ELECTRICAL SOLUTIONS CONTRACT C2022-46 IN THE AMOUNT OF $775,000 FOR A NOT-TO-EXCEED CONTRACT AMOUNT OF $2,425,000 WHEREAS, on April 19, 2022, following a review of proposals submitted in response to a Request for Proposals (RFP), the City of Manteca entered into Contract No. C2022-46 with Bear Electrical Solutions for Streetlight and Traffic Signal Maintenance Services; and WHEREAS, the RFP and contract provided for an initial three-year term with the option for two one-year extensions, with the current term set to expire in June 2026; and WHEREAS, the existing contract funding of $1,650,000 has been utilized for scheduled maintenance, capital improvement projects, reimbursable Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) projects, and insurance-related repairs; and WHEREAS, additional projects and continued routine maintenance are anticipated in the current fiscal year, including work related to insurance claims, and an increase in the contract’s not-to-exceed amount is necessary to ensure sufficient funding is available to support these services; and WHEREAS, staff is recommending approving Amendment No. 1 to Contract No. C2022-46 to increase the amount by $775,000, for a revised total contract not-to-exceed of $2,425,000; and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered all information related to this matter, as presented at the public meetings of the City Council identified herein, including any supporting reports by City Staff, and any information provided during public meetings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Manteca, as follows:
The City Council hereby finds that the facts set forth in the recitals to this Resolution are true and correct, and establish the factual basis for the City Council’s adoption of this Resolution.
The City Council hereby approves Amendment No. Contract No. 1 in the amount of $775,000 to C2022-46 with Bear Electrical Solutions, increasing the contract not-to-exceed amount from $1,650,000 to $2,425,000.
The City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager or their designee to execute all associated documents including related budget adjustments and take all appropriate actions necessary to carry out the purpose and intent of this Resolution.
This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
