RESOLUTION R2025-XX
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MANTECA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING CITY OF MANTECA SHORT RANGE TRANSIT PLAN UPDATE WHEREAS, a Short Range Transit Plan (SRTP) is a document that outlines a transit agency’s services and operations for 5 to 10 years; and WHEREAS, the San Joaquin Council of Governments (SJCOG), in order to support its planning objectives and fulfill State and Federal Transit Administration (FTA) regulations, requires any agency receiving State or Federal funds for public transit operations to develop, and periodically update, an SRTP; and WHEREAS, City staff will implement the recommended service modifications within a five-year horizon, starting Fiscal Year 2025-2026. Service modifications will be introduced on a trial basis, and evaluated through ongoing performance monitoring of ridership, passenger satisfaction, and cost effectiveness to determine their long-term viability; and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered all information related to this matter, as presented at the public meetings of the City Council identified herein, including any supporting reports by City Staff, and any information provided during public meetings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Manteca, as follows:
The City Council hereby finds that the facts set forth in the recitals to this Resolution are true and correct, and establish the factual basis for the City Council’s adoption of this Resolution.
The City Council hereby approves adopting the City of Manteca Short Range Transit Plan Update.
3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Manteca at a public meeting of said City Council held on the 19th day of August, 2025, by the following vote:
