RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MANTECA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING ALL IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE NILE GARDEN WELL 30 WATER SUPPLY PROJECT – WELL DRILLING (CIP 21026 & 21034) AS COMPLETE, AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO FILE THE NOTICE OF COMPLETION WHEREAS, on June 20, 2023, City Council awarded the construction contract to Nor-Cal Pump & Well Drilling (Nor-Cal) in the amount of $927,853 and approved a construction contingency of 15% or $139,178 for a total not-to-exceed project cost of $1,067,031 for the Nile Garden Well 30 Water Supply Project – Well Drilling (CIP 21026 & 21034) (“Project”); and WHEREAS, the Project was constructed in general conformance with the conformed plans and specifications; and WHEREAS, The Project included three contract change orders; and WHEREAS, the project included three contract change orders having a total project cost reduction of $19,900; and WHEREAS, a summary of the change orders is as follows:
Temporary pause in construction to allow for a geotechnical investigation Installation of a larger casing pipe
Project credit for quantity adjustments of irrigation materials, and reduction to steel casing length; and WHEREAS, the final construction cost is $907,953 and the Contractor has signed the final payment certification; and WHEREAS, there is a 5% retention totaling approximately $45,397.65 that will be released to the Contractor no sooner than 45 days after filing of the Notice of Completion; and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered all information related to this matter, as presented at the public meetings of the City Council identified herein, including any supporting reports by City Staff, and any information provided during public meetings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Manteca, as follows:
The City Council hereby finds that the facts set forth in the recitals to this Resolution are true and correct, and establish the factual basis for the City Council’s adoption of this Resolution.
The City Council hereby accepts all improvements for the Nile Garden Well 30 Water Supply Project – Well Drilling (CIP 21026 & 21034) as complete.
The City Council hereby authorizes the City Clerk to file the Notice of Completion for the Nile Garden Well 30 Water Supply Project – Well Drilling (CIP 21026 & 21034).
The City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager or designee to complete and execute all associated documents and take all appropriate actions necessary to carry out the purpose and intent of the resolution.
This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Manteca at a public meeting of said City Council held on the 16th day of September 2025, by the following vote:
