I served on the EIA: High School Trafficking Social Media Team. I presented at two major conferences: the SJCOE Safe School Summit and EIA Official Summit. My group and I talked about various different ways to stay safe from human trafficking and educated adults on this information. Manteca Youth Focus- •Served as Miss Teen Manteca for one year •Volunteered at events like the Pumpkin fair, Watermelon Street Faire, Love Manteca, Prince and Princess Programs, etc. • Conducted drive that donated 70 Students Squishmallows for Hope Family Shelter kids on Christmas

FEMA Region 9 Youth Preparedness Council - prepared an emergency preparedness project to spread awareness with a team from all over the western region of the United States. I believe I will benefit from working to help the youth of the City. "To help other people at all times" is my code of honor, and I believe this Commission will benefit me in fulfilling that.
This commission has the potential to be one of the most important in the City, and I believe I and all youth will benefit from new ideas and structure being on the Youth Advisory Commission.

To better the youth and teens in the City of Manteca, I will bring new and unique ideas. One idea that I will advocate for is the reworking of what the Youth Advisory Commission does to where the Commission will be able to truly advise the Mayor and City Council "on issues including youth recreational activities, gang prevention, graffiti prevention and removal, drug and alcohol abuse prevention in conjunction with other community-based organizations such as Partners in Prevention, and other issues requested by the City Council" and have meetings where we fulfill a quorum, and not just volunteer at the Recreation and Community Services events. One way to implement this would be to provide a monthly report to the City Council on the state of the youth of the City, taking information from the high schools, and providing ideas and programs on how to improve. This would help fulfill the entire Purpose of the Commission as listed in the Bylaws.

Born in Turlock, my family and I moved from Delhi, California to Manteca in 2012. Since then, I have come to cherish the community that I call home, attending Veritas Elementery School prior to coming into Sierra High. I hope to work towards one day practicing law or otherwise serving our nation's interests abroad as a foreign service officer. While also possessing a thumb for writing, I am most keen in history through all avenues in which it may present itself.

I have previously served on the now-defunct Equity and Access Committee on Community Engagement for the Manteca Unified School District. Currently, I am the Outreach Director on the board for California High School Republicans. Through my Agriculture Leadership class at school, I have helped plan many of MantecaSierra FFA's activities and events, both in and outside the classroom. Working with my peers, we strived to offer FFA members meaningful and plentiful opportunities to engage and participate in the chapter. During this past election season, on the other hand, I remained busy with California High School Republicans. These past few months were full of phonebanking and doorknocking for legislative candidates up and down the state, in addition to tabling at this year's pumpkin fair with the county's California Republican Assembly chapter and Central Valley Impact Republicans, while also working for Jim Shoemaker's bid for state senate and Mayor Kevin Lincoln's congressional campaign, respectively. A particular bright spot as of late was volunteering at the Great Valley Bookfest this October, where I helped aid in setting up for the day prior to helping guide patrons, tidying books, and cleaning up for the Friends of Manteca Library's Book Sale area. Aside from involvement in numerous athletic programs many years prior in the likes of the Manteca Chargers football team, Manteca Area Soccer League, and the city Recreation department's very own summer swimming classes, it was a pleasure last year participating in Sierra High's Sikh Honors and Service Society. Attending school board meetings, educating our peers on the ails of illicit drugs (e.g. fentanyl), and volunteering at community health clinics, it was commonplace to see the club tabling at area temples, instilling students with a sense of service and integrity through faith.

Through my time on the Youth Advisory Commission, I hope to gain more experience in leading and working with others to deliver results and get things done. In addition, it would be instrumental in fostering a sense of purpose and civic engagement key in allowing me to become more familiar with our government and how it serves our community, in turn bettering the lives of our youngest residents.

It is my intent to bring forth the ideas and beliefs necessary in improving the lives of Manteca's youth. In particular, my strongest focus is the necessity to educate our teenage children on the dangers of drinking, smoking/vaping, and the illicit use of marijuana, tobacco, and the like. It should be our utmost priority to stamp out the unhealthy and immoral behaviors leading young people into a lifetime of crime and addiction. I possess the will, determination, and strive for excellence needed in achieving the goals and priorities of the commission; a plentiful score coupled with the recreational needs of our school-age children.
