America Recycles Day
November 15, 2025
Whereas, America Recycles Day, also known as National Recycling Day, is a national observance in the United States dedicated to promoting recycling across the nation which is observed on November 15th of every year; and Whereas, participating in America Recycles Day is one way we can all help raise awareness about the need to reduce waste by reusing, recycling and buying recycled products; and Whereas, city, county, state and community leaders need to spread the word about the excellent programs they have established, the growth of markets for recyclables, the importance of buying recycled products, the need to expand the collection of recyclable materials; and Whereas, America Recycles Day promotes and celebrates the proper ways to recycle and the importance of recycling and acknowledges the significant environmental and economic benefits of recycling, such as conserving energy, natural resources, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions; and Now, Therefore, I, Gary Singh, Mayor of the City of Manteca, on behalf of City Council, do recognize November 15, 2025 as America Recycles Day in Manteca, and call upon the community to observe this day with appropriate programs and activities, and encourage City of Manteca residents to continue their environmental efforts by recycling throughout the year.
