Hello, my name is Mina Boghdady. I was born in Egypt and moved in the United States about a decade ago. I am currently attending sierra high school as an 10th grader. I currently ranked 2nd in GPA in my class and am actively involved in many clubs ranging from Academic to Act of threads. As a freshman I took Algebra 2, Spanish 3, English Honors I. As well as taken the AP Human Geography Test and received a 5. During the summer i took 4 college classes, including on American Politics and Economics, and Intro to Sociology. I strive to get into a good college and become a future engineer.

I have not had any previous experience with serving on other Boards & Commissions however I am eager to begin.

How did you hear about the Youth Advisory Commission vacancy? I heard about the Youth Advisory Commission form a couple of my friends who encouraged me to join.

I have volunteered for youth programs in the past. I provided torturing to other highschoolers in the math torturing program provided by one of the math teachers. Too add on I used to volunteer regularly at a VBS program teaching children morales such as kindness, empathy and respect.

What benefits do you believe you will obtain from being on the Youth Advisory Commission? I hope I can gain more experience in leading and working with others. To continue I would also like to learn more about how the city council works and how i can make a positive impact in my community.
What will you bring to the Youth Advisory Commission to better the youth and teens in the City of Manteca?
I am committed to bringing kindness, support, and new perspectives to the advisory. I hope to contribute new and innovative ideas that will benefit the broader community but also the youth. As I think by assisting the youth we can foster a more compassionate future. As the changes we make today will affect future citizens and which I keep that in mind while making decisions. My goal is to try to leave a lasting positive impact that, if even one person, will make someone's day a little brighter.

Hello, I'm Raunak I live in Manteca but I'm originally from India. I'm a studious student with near perfect grades. I have experience in volunteering service as I work with MYF. I want to pursue a computer science field in the future. I'm also a Black Belt in Karate and I like to work in groups.

Manteca Youth Focus- been volunteering for a year and helped young children in activities such as games and setting up events for Pumpkin Fairs and other functions. I also volunteered for Manteca Martial Arts- helped young kids practice and perfect certain techniques for them to pass and eventually get to the next rank.

What benefits do you believe you will obtain from being on the Youth Advisory Commission? I believe I will gain experience to work closer with Board members and my friends that are with me. It will help me communicate better with adults and learn to make our city a better place.

My name is Sammy and I am a 15-year-old 10th grade student at Sierra High School. I have two loving parents and an older brother. At school, I take rigorous classes and I'm on track to be one of the top students in my class by the time I graduate, though my goal is to be the valedictorian. This past football season, I played on the JV football team for Sierra and plan going to varsity next season. Furthermore, I volunteer at many annual events run by many different organizations that work tirelessly to serve the community, such as Rotary, Kiwanis, Flags Over Manteca, among others. My interests include football and weightlifting, along with overall self-care. For me, my personality goes handin-hand with my interests and my academics because I am competitive both on the field and in the classroom. Despite my competitiveness, my countless hours spent practicing and playing with my team taught me how to work together with others.

I have not yet served on any other boards or commissions. This commission will be my gateway into serving my community. I plan on serving my commmunity now and in the future.

Have you volunteered for any youth or teen programs? Please list and give examples of service provided.
Though I have served my community by volunteering for many events hosted by several organizations and programs in Manteca, I have not yet served for any programs geared towards youth or teens. I have been on pancake duty at Manteca Rotary's Annual Super Bowl Omelet Pancake Breakfasts since 2020, when I was 9 years old. I have also put flags out on the sidewalks during federal holidays as part of Flags Over Manteca since 2022. I have guided vendors to their spots at both the Watermelon and Pumpkin Street Fairs as part of Sikhs of Manteca since 2022 as well. Just this past year, I volunteered with the Police Chief's Foundation's Healthy Room Project, where we remodeled the bedrooms of less fortunate children in Manteca.

What benefits do you believe you will obtain from being on the Youth Advisory Commission? I hope to further improve my teamwork skills and develop experience in serving on commissions. I also hope to meet more Mantecans and develop tight bonds with my fellow members.

I will bring in a positive attitude and establish a supportive environment. I will also bring in the ambition to truly better the youth of Manteca.
