RESOLUTION R2026-XXX
resolution of the city council of the city of manteca, state of california, Adopt a resolution accepting all improvements for the Fleet Maintenance CNG Safety Systems Project (CIP 24121) as complete, authorizing the City Clerk to file the Notice of Completion, and authorizing the City Manager or designee to complete and execute all associated documents, and take all appropriate actions necessary to carry out the purpose and intent of the resolution.
WHEREAS, on October 21, 2025, City Council awarded the construction contract C2025-196 for the Fleet Maintenance CNG Safety Systems Project (CIP 24121) to Anaba Construction, Inc. for an amount of $173,211 and approved a construction contingency of $17,321 for a total project budget of $190,532.00; and WHEREAS, on February 17, 2026, the City Council approved an additional 10% construction contingency in the amount of $17,321, bringing the total contingency to $34,642, to address unforeseen project improvements and related construction needs; and WHEREAS, The Project had 2 change orders. Change order number 1 was in the amount of $31,232.35 which included a total of 4 preliminary change orders and change order number 2 was one last item in the amount of $3,380.00; and WHEREAS, the Project was constructed in general conformance with the conformed plans and specifications; and WHEREAS, The final project construction cost is $207,823.35, the Contractor has submitted the signed final payment certification; and WHEREAS, The total retention of $10,391.17 will be released to the Contractor no sooner than 45 days after filing the notice of completion; and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered all information related to this matter, as presented at the public meetings of the City Council identified herein, including any supporting reports by City Staff, and any information provided during public meetings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Manteca, as follows:
The City Council hereby finds that the facts set forth in the recitals to this Resolution are true and correct, and establish the factual basis for the City Council’s adoption of this Resolution.
The City Council hereby accepts all improvements for the Fleet Maintenance Facility CNG Safety Systems Project (CIP 24121) as complete.
The City Council hereby authorizes the City Clerk to file the Notice of Completion for the Fleet Maintenance Facility CNG Safety Systems Project (CIP 24121).
The City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager or designee to complete and execute all associated documents and take all appropriate actions necessary to carry out the purpose and intent of this resolution.
This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
