RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MANTECA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, APPROVING AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT NO. C2026-36 WITH CONCORD UTILITY SERVICES FOR WATER METER AND ENDPOINT REPLACEMENT SERVICES, EXTENDING THE CONTRACT TERM TO SEPTEMBER 30, 2027, AND INCREASING THE NOT-TO-EXCEED CONTRACT AMOUNT TO $1,416,550 WHEREAS, the City of Manteca (“City”) entered into Professional Services Agreement No. C2026-36 (“Agreement”) with Concord Utility Services (“Concord”) on March 10, 2026, for water meter and endpoint replacement services; and WHEREAS, the original Agreement established a maximum compensation amount of $829,950 and an expiration date of December 31, 2026; and WHEREAS, the City desires to continue working with Concord to replace additional water meters and endpoints; and WHEREAS, Concord submitted a proposal dated August 21, 2026, to replace 4,000 water meters and endpoints; and WHEREAS, the City desires to amend the Agreement increasing the not-to-exceed compensation to $1,416,550 and extending the contract term to September 30, 2027; and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered all information related to this matter, as presented at the public meetings of the City Council identified herein, including any supporting reports by City Staff, and any information provided during public meetings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Manteca, as follows:
The City Council hereby finds that the facts set forth in the recitals to this Resolution are true and correct, and establish the factual basis for the City Council’s adoption of this Resolution.
The City Council hereby approves Amendment No. 1 to Professional Services Agreement No. C2026-36 with Concord Utility Services for water meter and endpoint replacement services, increasing the maximum compensation by $586,600, from $829,950 to a total not-to-exceed amount of $1,416,550 and extending the contract term from December 31, 2026, to November 30, 2027.
Except as expressly modified by the amendment, all other terms and conditions of the Professional Services Agreement No. C2026-36, as previously amended, shall remain in full force and effect.
This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
