RESOLUTION 2026-XX
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MANTECA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE MILITARY EQUIPMENT POLICY AND RENEWING ORDINANCE 2.40.030 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Manteca passed Ordinance Chapter
2.40.030 on April 5, 2022; and
WHEREAS, the Manteca Police Department (“Department”) submitted and posted an updated Manteca Police Department Military Equipment Funding, Acquisition and Use Policy (“Policy”), including an updated Equipment Inventory (“Inventory”) for 2026 on their website pursuant to Government Code Section 7072 on September 15, 2026. On the same date, the Department also posted the Manteca Police Department Military Equipment Report for 2025 (“2025 Report”), as required by Government Code Section 7072(a); and WHEREAS, on October 6, 2026 the Department presented the updated Policy and Inventory for 2026, the 2026 report, and information from the community engagement meeting to the City Council at a regularly scheduled meeting, as required by Government Code section 7072(a); and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Manteca has reviewed the 2026 Report and the updated Policy for 2026.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Manteca, as follows:
The City Council hereby finds that the facts set forth in the recitals to this Resolution are true and correct, and establish the factual basis for the City Council’s adoption of this Resolution.
They City Council hereby finds that the 2026 Report meets the requirements of California Government Code 7072(a).
Based on the 2026 Report, pursuant to Government Code Section 7071(e)(2) the City Council determines that each type of military equipment identified in the Report has complied with the standards for approval set forth in Government Code Section 7071(d).
The City Council has reviewed Ordinance 2.40.030, as required by Government Code Section 7071(e), and Ordinance 2.40.030 is hereby renewed.
This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Manteca at a public meeting of said City Council held on the __day of__ , 2026, by the following vote:
