a. Approve Payment of the List of Current Warrants for August 2026 Agendized Items
a. Consent to sale of Tax-Defaulted Property September 14-16, 2026 Recommendation:

Motion to Consent to Sale of Tax-Defaulted Property September 14-16, 2026 and to authorize Mayor to execute the consent document on behalf of the City.
b. Review/Discuss/Consider Approval of GPS Vehicle Tracking System for City-Owned Vehicles.

Recommendation:

Review side-by-side comparison of GPS vehicle tracking systems and provide direction regarding vendor selection, and if desired, authorize Mayor and City Clerk to execute necessary agreement and related documents on behalf of the City
c. Review and Discuss a Proposed Ordinance Adding Chapter 5.30, Food Vending Vehicles, to the Maricopa Municipal Code and Provide Direction to Staff.

Recommendation:

Staff recommends that the City Council:

Review and discuss the proposed Food Vending Vehicle Ordinance;

2. Provide comments and direction to staff regarding the proposed ordinance; and

3. Direct staff to return the ordinance for future consideration and possible adoption.

Mayor Cory Morse called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m., followed by the flag salute.

V. Council Reports/Statements
a. Report by Public Safety/Sheriff Department/Fire Department - Statistics for July 14th through July 27th were submitted and reviewed by Sergeant Romo. Council Member Horn again raised concerns regarding the ongoing dog issues, noting the animals are aggressive and causing residents to feel unsafe to the point that some will not allow their children outside.

Sergeant Romo stated the matter will be addressed and confirmed he will coordinate with John, the City's Animal Control Officer, to resolve the issue. b. City Clerk Meghan Wilson -None.
c. City Treasurer Dorine Horn - Absent.
d. City Administrator Eric Ziegler - None.
e. City Attorney Alan Peake - Recommended the City consider adopting a food truck ordinance, particularly in anticipation of events once the Pump Track is completed. f. City Council Members - Council Member Horn reported that a city worker informed him he is being held responsible for cleanup following VFW food drives, noting that such cleanup should be handled by the FW
g. Mayor Cory Morse - None.
