Public Comments:
• Bryan Shields spoke about the Exhibit A in this report , was not the same as the one on October 21st. Spoke about the importance of having pre-qualifications already set in an RFP. • John Anzini stated he grew up on Fort Ord and went to the Aquatic Center and watched the soldiers do their thing. This is a great project, and I commend you guys for putting it together.

Spoke about the apprenticeship program verbiage in the resolution exhibit and suggested changing the word “may” to “shall” …be paid. You need to have these working people here in your community and the Carpenters Union is a big part of that • Leslie Gill spoke about having your pay cut to cover the cost of healthcare. Stated she would love to work in the local community versus having to travel out of town to get to a job site. • Doug Chesshire commented on the meeting that was held two weeks ago where it was noted you had an opportunity to make something better. What’s presented tonight is not making things

better. The community needs jobs that pay livable wages with healthcare. As a community we can do better. Encourage this council.to take this and make it the best opportunity possible. • Tony Uzzl spoke about healthcare payments being made by the employer but asked who checks to make sure the payments are actually being paid. Somebody needs to start checking the projects and make sure the workers are getting paid correctly. That's all we're asking for here.

The council held a back-and-forth discussion on healthcare premiums language, prevailing wage standards, apprenticeship language, enforcement program and what to do if no successful bids are received.
