RESOLUTION NO. 2022-XX
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE, STATE OF
CALIFORNIA, AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE 5TH STREET REHABILITATION, CONTRACT NO. 21-01, FEDERAL-AID PROJECT STPL-5009(030)
At a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Marysville, State of California held on the 18th day of January, 2022.
WHEREAS, the City of Marysville Public Works Department circulated and publicly advertised in the Appeal Democrat newspaper on October 27th and November 3rd, 2021 a Notice to Bidders to receive bids based on the improvement plans and construction documents prepared by MHM Inc. of Marysville for the City dated August 12, 2021 and clarified with addendum No. 1 dated November 22, 2021 and addendum No. 2 dated November 30, 2021.
WHEREAS, the City received five bids for this project on December 2, 2021 from All American Construction, Inc., Lamon Construction Co., Inc., DeSilva Gates Construction, Knife River Construction, and Teichert Construction; and
WHEREAS, the lowest responsive bid received for the total project was from All American Construction, Inc. in the amount of $3,058,362 to construct the improvements identified in the bid schedule provided as shown on the plans and construct documents prepared by MHM Inc. of Marysville for the City dated August 12, 2021 and clarified with addendum No. 1 dated November 22, 2021 and addendum No. 2 dated November 30, 2021. This bid received listed a DBE participation of 23.1%, exceeding the project goal of 23.0%.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Marysville approves to award a contract in the amount of $3,058,362 with All American Construction, Inc. for the construction of the 5th Street Rehabilitation, Contract No. 21-01, Federal-Aid Project STPL5009(030) based on the Improvement Plans and Contract Documents and authorizes the City Manager to execute the contract subject to clarifying and conforming changes approved by the City Attorney.
