Call to Order
The City of Marysville City Council meeting called to order by Mayor Branscum at 4:00pm.

1. Approve Two Amended Job Descriptions, a Temporary Freeze on the Public Works Director position and Authorize the Transfer of Salary and Benefits from the Public Works Director Vacancy to the Community Development Department

Recommendation: Passed Motion 2021-164 to 1) approve the amended Community Development Director Job Classification, 2) rename and amend the job classification from Assistant Director of Community Development and Services to Assistant Community Development Director, 3) add a salary range to the Executive and Mid-Management Compensation Plan for the Assistant Community Development Director position, 4) approve a temporary freeze on the Public Works Director position, and 5) authorize the Finance Department to transfer the appropriate allocation of salary and benefits from the Public Works Director vacancy to the Community Development Department to fund Assistant Community Development Director position.

Fire Department broke window out and Public Works put plywood up to secure the window for the bad weather. Proud of Staff, getting things done.
Council Comments/Requests (Councilmembers)
Councilmember Belza – Merry Christmas, enjoy the holiday.
Councilmember Gilchrist – Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Great working with everyone this last year.
Councilmember Hudson – Sentiments extended and thanks for all the work Jim.
Vice Mayor Buttacavoli – Mayor was missed at the Christmas Parade. It was a lot of fun.
Mayor Branscum – Best greetings for Christmas and the New Year. Next year would like to start discussing a possible blight tax to encourage property owners to fix properties. Also, will be appointing 3 new planning commissioners in the next year, hopefully on the first agenda of the next year.
