Subject: Acceptance of Cal Water Donation
Recommendation:
Pass a Motion to 1) approve the Marysville Fire Department to accept a donation in the amount of $4,999 from Cal Water to be used to purchase new equipment items and 2) authorize the Finance Department to make a supplemental appropriation of $4,999 to 10-145-5215 (Small Tools & Instruments).
Rationale for Recommendation:
The Department would use this donation to purchase new rescue manikins and portable radio microphones to replace broken ones.
Background:
Cal Water has a Community Giving Program to improve the quality of life in the communities they serve.
As a result, they approached the city with a check in the amount of $4,999 to be used by the fire department.
Discussion & Analysis:
The $4,999 donation would be allocated to account 10-145-5215 (Small Tools & Instruments) to be used to purchase new equipment items.
Fiscal Analysis:
The Fire Department has received the $4,999 donation from Cal Water. Staff is recommending authorizing the Finance Department to make a supplemental appropriation of $4,999 to 10-145-5215 (Small Tools & Instruments).
