RESOLUTION NO. 2022- XX
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE, STATE
OF CALIFORNIA, APPROVING REINSTATEMENT OF LATE FEES AND
CORRECTING TO THE LATE FEE FOR MONTHLY SEWER BILL IN THE CITY OF
MARYSVILLE FEE SCHEDULE
At a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Marysville, State of California, held on the 15th day of February, 2022.
WHEREAS, late fees for delinquent sewer payments have been established by Ordinance as written in Section 6.04.140 of the City of Marysville Municipal Code; and WHEREAS, late fees for delinquent sewer payment have not been charged to customers since February 2020; and
WHEREAS, late fees shall resume to be applied to billing statements issued during and after March 2022; and
WHEREAS, the “Late Fee for Monthly Sewer Billing” is shown incorrectly in the City of Marysville Fee Schedule as five dollars (“$5”); and
WHEREAS, all fees shown in the City’s fee schedule must be consistent with the City’s Municipal Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE:
1. Sewer late fees shall be reinstated to apply to billing statements issued during and after March 2022.
2. The “Late Fee for Monthly Sewer Billing” presently shown on page eight of the Marysville Fee Schedule shall be amended to be consistent with City of Marysville Municipal Code §6.04.140 to read:
LATE FEE FOR MONTHLY SEWER BILLING
10% of the monthly billing amount for each payment that is delinquent, plus one-half of one percent interest monthly interest charge on the accumulated balance. (City of
Marysville Municipal Code §6.04.140).
3. This correction to the Fee Schedule is included in the complete Fee Schedule hereto as Exhibit “A.” This Fee Schedule supersedes all previous versions.
The foregoing Resolution was approved and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Marysville held on the 15th day of February 2022, by the following vote:
