RESOLUTION NO. 2022-XX
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, APPROVING ORDINANCE NO. 1438, APPROVING A
MILITARY EQUIPMENT USE POLICY
At a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Marysville, State of California held on the 17th day of May, 2022.
WHEREAS, Senate Bill 481 passed on January 1, 2022 requiring law enforcement agencies to obtain approval of the governing body via an ordinance adopting a military equipment use policy before acquiring, using, or collaborating with other LEA’s within the jurisdiction to use the defined military equipment; and WHEREAS, the Department currently has specified military equipment in use to enhance public safety; and
WHEREAS, the City Council approves the Military Equipment Use Policy via Ordinance No. 1438 as required and;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Marysville as follows:
The City Council of the City of Marysville approves Ordinance No. 1438, adopting a military equipment use policy before acquiring, using, or collaborating with other LEA’s within the jurisdiction to use the defined military equipment. This is subject to clarifying and conforming changes of the City Attorney.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Marysville, County of Yuba, State of California, held on the 3rd day of May, by the following vote:
