RESOLUTION NO. 2022-XX
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE,
CALIFORNIA APPROVING A LICENSE AGREEMENT WITH PHANTOM
FIREWORKS WESTERN REGION, LLC, A CALIFORNIA CORPORATION (“PHANTOM”) FOR THE TEMPORARY USE OF A PORTION OF CITY-OWNED PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1317 B STREET IN MARYSVILLE FOR FIREWORK SALES
At the regular meeting of the Council of the City of Marysville, State of California, held on the 17th day of May, 2022.
WHEREAS, the 2023 Marysville Youth and Civic Center has requested the use of Cityowned property located near 1317 B Street in Marysville to place a fireworks booth and sell fireworks; and
WHEREAS, the sale of fireworks will be a large fundraising event of the Marysville Youth and Civic Center, the proceeds of which help pay for the costs of multiple programs and enhancements of existing programs; and
WHEREAS, the Marysville Youth and Civic Center contracts with Phantom Fireworks Western Region, LLC. (hereinafter “Phantom”) to manage and operate the fundraising event for the benefit of the Marysville Students and Constituents seeking services, and wishes the City to execute an appropriate license agreement to permit Phantom to install a fireworks booth and undertake fireworks sales on behalf of the Marysville Youth and Civic Center on City-owned property located near 1317 B Street; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Marysville, as follows:
A. The License Agreement between the City of Marysville and Phantom Fireworks Western Region, LLC. attached hereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth herein is hereby approved; and
B. The City Manager or designee is authorized to execute said License Agreement and any other related documents which are necessary for Marysville Youth and Civic Center to sell fireworks on City-owned property.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Marysville, County of Yuba, State of California, held on the 17th day of May, 2022, by the following vote:
