RESOLUTION NO. 2022-XX
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE, STATE OF
CALIFORNIA, TO APPROVE A CHECKLIST FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING
STATION SUBMITTALS
At a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Marysville, State of California held on August 16, 2022.
WHEREAS, Assembly Bill 1236 required local jurisdictions with a population of less than 200,000 residents to adopt an Ordinance to create an expedited streamlined permitting process by September 30, 2017; and
WHEREAS, Assembly Bill 970 requires these same jurisdictions to have an expedited review in place by January 1, 2023; and
WHEREAS, Assembly Bill 1236 allows local jurisdictions to refer and use the current version of the “Plug-In Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Permitting Checklist” of the “Zero-Emission Vehicles in California: Community Readiness Guidebook” published by the Governor’s Office of Planning and Research while enacting an ordinance for EVSEs; and
WHEREAS, the checklist attached to this Resolution was drafted from the “Plug-In Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Permitting Checklist,” and may be modified as needed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Marysville that the City Council of the City of Marysville authorizes the use of this checklist titled “Electric Vehicle Charging Station Submittals.”
